kcalAt home there are two ways I make potato soup. This recipe is a variant of that.
Ingredients:
- 1200 g
potatoes – diced
- 2
onions – diced
- 3
carrots – half diced
- 300 g
celery – diced
- 1/2
leek – sliced
- 2 pieces
garlic – crushed
- 2 liters
water
- 3 pairs
of sliced Wienerl / kind of hot dog – small sausage
- 2 tbsp
butter
- 5 tbsp
vegetable broth (powder)
- 1/2 tsp
ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp
ground nutmeg
- 2 tbsp
dried parsley
- 1 tbsp
dried marjoram
salt, pepper
Preparation:
Heat the butter in a saucepan and add the onion. Fry the onions for about 5 minutes until they´re transparent.
Then mix in the carrots, celery and leeks. Stir well and mix in all the spices.
Pour the pot with water and bring to a boil.
As soon as the water is boiling, mix in about 3/4 of the potatoes and cook for about 25 minutes.
Then puree the soup and add the other potatoes and sausages. Let simmer about 10 more over medium heat.
Finally, taste and check whether the potatoes are already cooked and the delicious pureed potato soup variant is ready.
Tip:
- If you don't like sausages try the combo with bacon.
