    I created this dish myself because I'm an absolute fan of Asian beef dishes. However, I've tried so many Asian sauces that I thought how about just plain gravy? Thought, done - it tastes incredibly delicious, has something special and is hardly known.


    • 400gr beef (hip, fillet) / thin strips of beef

    • 4 onions – half rings

    • 400ml water

    • 1 tbsp butter

    • 2 tbsp flour

    • 1 tbsp gravy powder / roast juice powder

    • salt, pepper


    • Season the beef with salt and pepper and place in a bowl with flour, mix well and leave to rest for about 5 minutes.

    • Fry the onions in butter until golden brown.

    • Add the beef to the onions, stir and fry for about 3 minutes.

    • Pour water over everything, stir in the gravy with a whisk and leave to simmer for about 5 minutes on a low level.

    • And the delicious beef with a gravy sauce is ready.


    • In addition to homemade mashed potatoes and green beans – you can also mix it with gnocchi, which you can mix directly into the pan. They are also suitable as a side dish.
